i liked this Playin' a lot. i'm a big fan of 72-74 PITB though some of them are a bit too atonal and weird for my likings. i prefer the jazzy, funky, melodic jams like the one featured here.

i'm surprised the assembly hall didn't sprout wings and take off into outer space in yearning to rejoin itself with the universal cosmic dust.


i haven't given extensive listen to E72 Playin jams but it seems the song really opened up and acquired an extra dimension to the jams when the band played their Summer 72 shows. i like this one a lot too: http://www.archive.org/details/gd1972-08-12.sbd.gems.104168.flac24
